Welcome and a little about Transcendence

I started writing Transcendence almost three years ago because I had a story to tell—one of betrayal, revenge, female rage, powerful women, love, and redemption. I hope I’ve done it justice with the way I chose to tell it, and the words I used to describe it.
I knew it featured a wicked antagonist (a soul warped into the demonic) and a protagonist who is your every-day aged 30ish working mother: busy and trying to enjoy life in between the demands of work and family. She certainly doesn’t have time for supernatural nonsense or demons hiding in her daughter’s closet.
And I thought to myself, how fun would it be to take this “normal” woman and set her out on a journey of discovery? What would it be like for her to realize her daughter’s nightmares aren’t just fantasy, but based on something very real, something she has a dark and twisted past with—even if she herself doesn’t remember or feel the weight of those fractured bonds?
Anyway, that’s how it all kicked off. And along the way, I grew to love the supporting characters of Linda and Mrs. Bates—two women who have uncanny abilities of their own and offer Alexis help and support in her very real, and very personal battle with the creature stalking her and her family. Jack also took on a larger role for himself than I had originally intended, but it felt right, so I let him have it and smiled often when I wrote about him and Alexis and the dynamics of their relationship.
Transcendence launches in April of 2026. Now that it's found a publisher, I am hard at work continuing the story in a sequel focusing on Mrs. Bates and Linda amidst the aftermath of Transcendence. The characters, and this story, aren’t quite ready to let me go just yet.
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for visiting my site and reading my first blog post! I can’t wait for you to read Transcendence—Alexis can’t either.
